Strategic Business Veteran Set to Grow Massage Heights Presence in the Texas Region
February 10, 2021 // Franchising.com // DALLAS, TEXAS - Massage Heights signed its first agreement of 2021 with new franchisee Ryan Simmons. The first location in Uptown is slated to open in July 2021 with the second, located in Highland Park, set for October 2022. In 2020, the brand signed five agreements despite the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic and are currently on track to sign six additional candidates in numerous markets across the U.S. in 2021.
Prior to joining Massage Heights, Ryan worked in the automotive consulting business as director of strategic accounts for Cox Automotive. During his 15 years with the company, he gained the critical managerial and marketing skills needed to run a successful business. Inspired by the sustainable revenue-based business model and custom experiences offered by Massage Heights, Ryan is bringing the brand’s elevated services to the central Dallas market with his first franchise agreement.
“I was first introduced to Massage Heights back in November of 2020 by a franchise consultant. My curiosity in the health and wellness industry led me to conducting research around opportunities that I could get involved with,” says Ryan Simmons. “Throughout my research, I found that Dallas has great potential to bring an elevated experience of wellness into the community, and after talking with current owners and gathering as much information as possible, I learned that Massage Heights was the perfect fit. The brand's new build-out design and customizable customer experience played a huge factor, but it was the benevolent culture of the people that solidified the deal."
Massage Heights was founded in 2004 Co-founder and President, Shane Evans with her husband, Wayne, after realizing the need for professional and affordable massage services. Through their own experience of recurring back pain and lack of finding a consistently affordable therapeutic option for massage therapy, Shane and Wayne opened the first Massage Heights location. After realizing the growing demand for massage therapy as part of people’s everyday lives to manage chronic pain, reduce stress, and countless other symptoms, they saw an opportunity to take the brand national, giving consumers an elevated experience in each Retreat.
